Accreditation for IGSHPA accredited installers and vertical loop installers is valid for three years.

During those three years an installer must accumulate eight continuing education units (points) to renew the accreditation. The points can be accumulated in three ways – through employment, membership in a geothermal industry related organization(s)* and/or education.
